First things first, one must understand the basic differences between the terms “Made to Measure” & “ Bespoke”.
'Made To Measure' is a term used to define Menswear produced to order from an adjusted block pattern. Usually a paper pattern is not built, rather pieces that match those needed are collected and assembled. It is differentiated from Bespoke in that, Men who choose to buy made to measure have some, but not all control over the process. The degree of control varies considerably.
The word Bespoke itself is derived from the verb to bespeak, to "speak for something", in the specialised meaning "to give order for it to be made". The term Bespoke in fashion is reserved for individually patterned and crafted men's clothing, in contrast with mass manufactured ready-to-wear (also called off-the-peg or off-the-rack).. The distinguishing feature of bespoke tailoring is the buyer's total control over the fabric used, the features and fit, and the way the garment should be made. More generally, "Bespoke" describes a high degree of "customisation", and involvement of the end-user in the process.
Bespoke clothing is traditionally cut from a pattern drafted from scratch for the customer, and so differs from ready-to-wear, which is factory made in finished condition and standardised sizes, produced to order from an adjusted block pattern.
Bespoke Tailoring is so much more then a method. It is about passion, respect and creating a unique experience. This so you look and feel as you wish and prefer.
